Cute brooches, friends, and social :3
Staff strikes picketing for the 4th day in a row >_<. I was late this time but still managed to talk to my lecturers and see some friends also on the picket! I’m always so glad to talk to everyone and I have to show my support as much as I can… I hope staff get to have their negotiations soon and that jobs and courses don't get cut.
There was a cute market on my uni campus and one stall had soo much antique and vintage jewellery! I was very enamored by all the trinkets! I ran into my super awesome friend Nico while looking around and he pointed out this super cute ladybug on a leaf brooch to me
and guess what…! It happened to match my outfit that day!!

So I got it and immediately put it on hehe :P. Super cute addition right!! Thank you Nico... I might have missed it if you didn't point it out to me...

After making my purchases I headed to the library for my meeting! The meeting was about a collaboration between Humanitarian Society and an upcoming PauseAI society being pioneered by my friend. She explained the existential risk of AI well and we were on board of course. The issue seems to be dubbed 'x-risk' and some AI researchers argue that if we give AI too much power and build a superintelligent AI then it could lead to very dangerous circumstances for humanity, and in the worst case scenario: human extinction. She recommended a book titled 'If Anyone Builds It, Everyone Dies' by Eliezer Yudkowsky & Nate Soares, which I have yet to read but will get around to. She told me she plans to go to a House of Commons meeting where they will be doing a screening about the dangers of AI on politics, and hopes to manoeuvre the discussion to the existential risk of AI on humans with other PauseAI members to raise awareness and earn support in their goal to slow down / control the currently rapid development of AI... Now, unfortunately, I am rather lacking in knowledge on this matter… so I can’t form a solid opinion on this. I do believe some limitations should be put onto AI as we are already seeing increasingly more dangers to humans as the result of more advanced AI, but to be sold on the fearsome idea of AI being possible of causing human extinction I’d have to read more about it.
After the meeting I went BACK to the cute market haha to show [Humsoc President] all the cute things :). When I got there I ran into D*** (upd: we are no longer friends, long story) and she had picked out some of the cutest bird claw clips!! We thought about how she could accessorize them together with her everyday outfits and this was one idea I thought would be cool:
Then Prince made it on campus too and I got to introduce Luciel and D*** to each other _ mega sweet. Then, I of course had to show Prince all the shinies, so it became my third time back at the antique and vintage jewellery stall... he bought some super cute pink earrings and this time I bought a little ring because it was the first time a non-adjustable ring had ever fit me so perfectly before !! Their stall returns on the 23rd October so I hope I have more money then to spend on more cute things...
We split off from D*** and bumped into someone wearing a similar outfit to Luciel! Cardigan, pink shirt, long white skirt, and even the hijab. The friend she was with had an Aikatsu keychain!! After a few seconds I realised that these two people were on my psychology course and they remembered me for my piano bag LOL... it was iconic to be fair... I'd continue using it if it weren't breaking a bit and the amount of stuff I can carry in it is way too limited... I also like decorating my bags with pins and keychains too much so I'm solving my dilemma by getting a big ita bag :).
After spending some time in the library with Prince we headed to the Anime and Manga society social! On our way there we bumped into ANOTHER person wearing the a similar outfit to Prince. Again, I'm saying cardigan, pink shirt, long white skirt, and even the hijab. Turns out they were also going to the Anime and Manga society social so we all went there together! I got to see some people I hadn't seen in a while since I got banned from campus (for pro-Palestine protests) and it was nice catching up :). Also had someone come up to be super enthusiastically about my handmade Superman hair clip that I clipped to my cardigan hehe... they liked Cassandra Cain and Wonder Woman which I thought was cool :D. I also bumped into Mika and Ais again :D !! Soon the room started filling up SO MUCH it was so unexpected..! It felt like around 70 people, maybe even more... goodness... the room got so warm and hard to breathe in x_x... I ended up talking to so many people that my throat started getting sore, and because it was getting sore I accidentally slipped into an "American accent" because it was easier to get certain words out that way (food for thought) and someone genuinely thought I was American... sorry... I met some people with similar interests which was awesome :].
I even met someone (A) with the same LEGO Shadow the Hedgehog keychain..!!
I would also introduce myself and the conversation would lead to me telling people I got banned from campus last year and from that some people RECOGNISED ME and asked if I was one of the students that got arrested for protesting for Palestine :sob: at least someone said I was super auraful... and a lot of people liked my outfit :D ! One person (H) even told me that my outfit made me look like I was "little red riding hood in the forest collecting mushrooms like in stardew valley to bring back to my forest friends" and pointed out the bugs on my outfit :D. I liked that a lot. Really chill guy with good vibes.
Me and Prince finally left at around 8:30pm, he got picked up while I waited for the bus. Had a lovely conversation with some people (M and S) at the bus stop, I recognised a Blue Lock keychain and found out one of them likes vkei also _...!
It was a super long day full of socialising and living freely... got very overwhelming at times but it was nice being able to talk to so many people. I forget how much of a people person I am when I end up being holed up in my room for so long :'). I finally got back to my dorm at around 10pm, talked to my boyfriend <3 for a bit, and slept soundly... snnzz...
