Gluttonous Adventures with Friends!!

I felt like Usagi from Chiikawa.

Today's schedule!
11am - 5pm: Lectures
5pm - 9pm: Eat with Nin and Prince
9:30pm - ???: B's birthday :3 #cakesandcandles

Me and my friends Nin and Prince are meeting to eat together at Wagamama since I have a free side voucher and I've been craving their chilli squid a diabolical amount for WEEKS... I made my way there after my lab session and I made a little stop to buy a mango crumble loaf from a bubble tea place that also sold food and baked goods called 'Seven Tea'.

Nin wore her brand new yukata that's so gorgeous and looks amazing on her, her braids were super cute too :). Prince wore a new dress that was an eid gift which also looked beautiful on him, paired with my headdress. I couldn't dress as cool today since I had a long day and wanted to be more comfortable (while remaining cute of course!) since I knew I'd be getting home late.

For my main course I ordered their 'pulled shiitake donburi' which was yummy and tastes similar to their 'grilled duck donburi' which I crave often but is much more expensive. I find the shiitake alternative to be almost just as nice while being around £6 cheaper. It could do with more sauce and flavour though as I had to add some soy sauce and chilli oil for added taste.

Nin ordered the 'tantanmen beef brisket ramen' and the broth was delicious but also needed a bit more soy sauce. Natsume is also eating :3.

Prince ordered a 'saku saku duck soba' and the duck was flavourful and crispy, I think I would've liked it if the duck was more tender though... we also ordered two chilli squids, covered in shichimi, and served with this sweet and spicy vinegar dip to share between us. The squid was absolutely the highlight for me. I'm already craving it again... I realised later that the reason why my Phainon card is so blurry is because I didn't take off the plastic on the back... oopsie...

After a very savoury meal we were all craving a little sweet treat... our initial plan was to buy some HK mango pancakes from Seoul Plaza but on our way there not even 5 minutes away from Wagamama we came across Bill's pancake week advertisement and without hesitation Prince got so excited and we walked right in.

The deal was bottomless pancakes for £5 as long as you get a drink also. They told us we had to get drinks each and also pay £5 each and can't just share one stack between all of us but after Prince had a bit of back and forth with the waiter we got the deal that two of us pay and the three of us can share!!

We ordered a pot of earl grey tea and a pot of english breakfast tea so we could refill our cups and share. For our first round of pancakes we got the lemon meringue and berries with cream! The lemon meringue pancakes came with oat crumbles, lemon syrup, and big pieces of meringue. The range of textures and tastes was a delight and definitely prevents texture fatigue.

They were both delicious but I liked the berries with cream stack more! Perfectly sweet and tangy... and I just enjoy berry flavours more than lemon flavour.

Four our second round we got the biscoff and banana stack and the triple choco stack! Natsume ended up falling into the chocolate at some point...

They were both so yummy but this triple chocolate stack was beautiful... I just know my boyfriend would've liked it. The pancakes were thick, soft, so pillowy, and so warm. The ice cream balanced it out and was refreshing.

I didn't manage to get pictures of our third round but we got the vegan bacon pancakes and another lemon meringue as it was Nin and Prince's favourite :). The vegan bacon one was quite sad and didn't taste very good...

We were absolutely stuffed by the end considering that we barely had a break between our fat meal at Wagamama before coming here and have fat desserts... the fact that we got through 6 stacks of pancakes together was already incredible. If we came on an empty stomach we could've ate at least 3 more stacks.

I checked my phone after this as I was about to make my way to my friend's surprise birthday party and found out that my friends were cooking a roast dinner \(º □ º l|l)/... I DIDNN'T KNOWOWOWOWW OH MY GODD... IT'S NOT JUST CAKE... I WAS SO COOKIED.

This was the birthday gift I made for my friend because she likes Snoopy!! The stitching is a bit messed up in some places because I had to rush it overnight.

It had music notes inner lining :3 !! I THINK SHE LIKED THE GIFT!! She screamed and jumped when she opened it and ran to show it to everyone else I was so happy and she's so cute T.T !!!!!! MY FRIENDS ARE ALL SO CUTE !!!!!!! Everyone else gave beautiful gifts too :D.

This was truly when the depths of my gluttony was being tested guys. THIS ROAST DINNER WAS SO GOOD!!! MY FRIENDS COOKED SO HARD!!! MANNN I WISH I COULD'VE HAD MORE !!! BUT MY STOMACH WAS GOING TO EXPLODE!!! I still ate some to appreciate my friend's wonderful efforts and because everything tasted so FREAKING GOOD. I'M DROOLING THINKING BACK ON IT AND I'M SO HUNGRYRYYRYY...

I think my boyfriend was exasperated with me though ( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀) and said I was gonna get indigestion :(... (update: I did NOT! experience symptoms of indigestion!!!! YEAAHH) but he was caring and told me to drink peppermint tea and water before bed :3.

I wasn't the only person stuffed and suffering consequences of gluttony though... THE ENTIRE ROOM WAS. It's so great. Let's all eat.

After eating it was time for B to whack the pinata... I nearly got hit with the stick so I backed away LOLLL it was so fun. I took one piece of chocolate that flew out of the pinata home with me to eat. We also played a few rounds of Gartic.io and it was so funny and some of my friends made some really good drawings. I won da first round... #gluttonouskirby.

These lights were like crack to me I could actually stare at it change colours and move around forever.

I couldn't eat any cake but my friends gave me a slice to take home :D.

I enjoyed seeing my friends again I like them a lot !! They're awesome. I ended up staying until like 2am...

After getting home I chatted with Maria and Rabaa a bit and it was super nice to catch up with them again. Although I vehemently dislike (cishet) dating culture (honestly dating culture in general) I do appreciate Maria's updates on her dates with men. Share your lives with me everyone...

Overall, today was super fun and I enjoyed spending time with so many people and eating so much delicious food even if it did hurt me a little lol... I can't wait to see everyone again and talk to everyone again :D.
